BLACK SUNFLOWER

FAT BALLS:

MEALWORMS:

Mealworms are an effective way of providing high quality protein that birds need in their diet. They will attract Tits, Robins, Wrens, Blackbirds, Thrushes & Woodpeckers. Feed all the year round preferably at the same time each day.
Some species become tame enough to feed from the hand.

WAXWORMS:

The large juicy Waxworm is even more popular with birds than Mealworms so mixing them helps cut down on the cost.

OYSTER SHELL GRIT:

Birds need an adequate calcium intake to help in the production of strong egg shells, and at other times of the year as a mineral supplement to aid digestion. Oyster shell grit is the natural calcium source to provide this aid. It can be fed by putting in a small dish on the bird table or mixed with seed.

HYGIENE:

If water is provided change it daily and disinfect containers on a regular basis. Regularly clean up under feeding areas and discard any old uneaten or mouldy food. Sweep bird tables off daily and thoroughly clean regularly. Move tables and feeders around the garden if possible or have several feeding sites.

SQUIRREL FOOD:

Squirrel feeding is growing in popularity, not only is it fun, it also helps to stop squirrels from destroying valuable bird feeders and stealing their food.
