The one common feature of all the ponds that are pictured on the previous page is that they all use Oase products.

Chosen for their ease of use, low running costs and reliability Oase products offer great value for money.

The pictures below are of an existing pond that we fitted an Oase filtration system to in 2004.

The first picture shows the pond in February 2004 as we found it. The pond is about 19,500Gals in full sunshine and completely unfiltered. The water was so green that we could not see 1" below the surface. We were told that there were fish in the pond but did not know what or how many.

The pond is also situated in the middle of a large graveled area (now paved) so hiding filtration
was going to be tricky

Pipework.jpg (441327 bytes) We decided on two Oase Biotec 36 filters and two Bitron 72w UV's sited about 25m away and 2m above the pond. We wanted the pumps to be installed externally for ease of maintenance but because they had to be sited above the water level we opted for 1.5hp swimming pool pumps with non return valves fitted.
The pond had to be emptied, the liner pulled back and part of the pond wall removed to allow the connection of 2 x 110mm return pipes and 2 x 50mm suction hoses.

When the work was completed the green water and fish were retuned to the pond and the filter system switched on. Within 2 weeks the water was clear enough to see a pebble that had been dropped in the bottom of the pond (about 3feet deep).
